Châteaumeillant (French: [ʃɑtomɛjɑ̃] ⓘ; Auvergnat: Chastèlmelhan) is a commune in the Cher department in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France, comprising a small town and several hamlets in the valley of the small river Sinaise, about 40 miles (64 km) south of Bourges.
