Urzhar (also known as Ürjar; Kazakh: Үржар, Ürjar) is a village in the Ürjar river valley and the administrative center of Ürjar District in the Abai Region of eastern Kazakhstan. Population: 17,320 (2009 census results);[1] 16,830 (1999 census results).[1]
Climate
Ürjar has a humid continental climate (Köppen: Dfa),[2] characterized by very cold, snowy winters and very warm summers.
