St Mary and St George Church, Comberford is a redundant church[1] in Comberford in the Lichfield district of Staffordshire, England. It is located on Manor Road in the village centre.[2] It was dedicated to both St Mary and St George.
History
The church was built in 1914 after being gifted by Howard Francis Paget of Elford Hall. The church continued to be used as one of three parish churches in the Wigginton and Hopwas parish alongside St Leonard's Church, Wigginton and St Chad's Church, Hopwas until 2013.[3] When Comberford's church was closed after being declared redundant by the Church of England.[4] It has since been handed over to Wigginton and Hopwas parish council, who open it every so often.
