The Muzaffarpur–Prayagraj Bapudham Express is a Superfast Express train of the Indian Railways, connecting Muzaffarpur Junction in Bihar with Prayagraj Junction in Uttar Pradesh. It operates with train number 12537 and 12538 on a Bi-weekly basis under the North Eastern Railway zone.[1]
History
The train was introduced in 2003 to provide a direct, fast, and comfortable connection between north Bihar and central Uttar Pradesh, benefiting passengers traveling to Varanasi, Prayagraj, and surrounding regions.[2] The name "Bapudham" is derived from the Bapudham Motihari railway station, which is associated with Mahatma Gandhi's Champaran Satyagraha.
