Delaware Township is one of eleven townships in Ripley County, Indiana. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,513 (up from 1,437 at 2010[3]) and it contained 606 housing units.[4]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 33.27 square miles (86.2 km2), of which 33.21 square miles (86.0 km2) (or 99.82%) is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 km2) (or 0.18%) is water.[3]
