On April 18, 1963, a Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer[1] twin-turboprop aircraft of the No. 152 Squadron RAF crashed at Bu Hafafa in Oman, killing eight people on board. However, a passenger on the flight survived the accident with serious injuries.[2]
The aircraft was on a training mission from Bu Hafafa Airfield.[3] There were seven passengers and two crew members on board; four of them were from the Sultanate of Oman's Military School. The cause of the accident could not be determined.[4][5]
